Adelonema peltatum is defined by peltate, shield-shaped leaves that sit cleanly above the stem and give the plant a compact but unmistakably tropical look. Indoors it generally reaches about 50 cm tall and 40 cm wide, staying manageable while still reading as a foliage specimen rather than a filler plant.
It prefers bright filtered light, warmth around 18–26 °C, and a substrate rich in organic matter but open enough to drain freely. Water once the upper layer has dried slightly, then let excess moisture escape fully.
High humidity and stable conditions help maintain clean leaf texture, and, like many aroids, it contains calcium oxalate and should be kept away from pets and children. Division during repotting is the usual way to propagate established plants.
