Agave americana 'Mediopicta Alba' carries a broad creamy-white centre stripe through thick blue-grey leaves, each one armed with marginal teeth and a long terminal spine. Growth is slower than in standard Agave americana, which helps the rosette stay visually tight for longer in containers, though mature plants still become substantial.
Intense light keeps the variegation sharp and the leaves firm, while a mineral-heavy mix prevents moisture from lingering at the base. Water thoroughly, then allow complete drying before watering again, especially in cooler months.
Offsets can appear with age, and the eventual flowering cycle is monocarpic, but its main indoor appeal lies in the bold striped rosette and the strong powdery leaf tone. Handle with care around walkways.
