Aglaonema 'Cutlass' replaces the broad blades of typical Chinese evergreens with narrow, silvery spears that rise and arch like a refined indoor grass clump, but with more substance and stronger tropical character. The elongated leaves show pale grey to silver centres framed by darker green margins, and indoor plants commonly reach around 60–90 cm, sometimes more, while keeping a slim, upright footprint. Because it comes from the Aglaonema commutatum group, it tolerates lower light better than most silver foliage plants, although bright indirect light keeps the leaf colour clearer and the stems stronger.
Water when the upper layer has dried, keep the substrate airy and free draining, and avoid cold drafts or heavy, stagnant soil. Moderate humidity is helpful but not strictly necessary. It is a smart choice for anyone who wants the reliability of Aglaonema in a slimmer, more linear form than the usual dense, broad-leaved cultivars.
