Aglaonema pictum 'Bicolor' offers true camouflage foliage in two deep green tones, with thick, leathery leaves patterned more like forest shadow than like variegation. Mature plants usually stay around 40–60 cm indoors, but the species-like character and slow pace matter more than size: this is a collector plant for people who appreciate subtle, wild-type pattern over flashy hybrid colouring.
Its roots lie in humid Sumatran forest habitats, and it performs best when indoor conditions reflect that background—warm temperatures, bright filtered light, high humidity, and a very airy substrate that stays lightly moist without stagnation. Lower humidity and heavy soil tend to dull the look or stall growth quickly. Repot sparingly, keep the root zone oxygenated, and do not treat it like an ordinary office Aglaonema. The result, when well grown, is foliage that looks almost deliberately camouflaged rather than merely decorative.
