Aglaonema 'Red Valentine' throws saturated pink-red across most of each broad glossy leaf, leaving enough green at the edges and between markings to frame the colour and keep the plant from looking flat. Indoors it usually reaches around 50–60 cm, forming a compact clump that suits smaller spaces or grouped foliage displays where one plant needs to supply a strong warm accent.
It comes from tropical Aglaonema breeding, so bright indirect light is best for maintaining the strongest red tones, though lower light is still tolerated with somewhat duller colour. Allow the upper portion of the substrate to dry between waterings, keep the soil loose and airy, and avoid cold drafts or waterlogged roots. Regular gentle feeding during active growth helps maintain the vivid foliage without pushing weak leaves. It is a cultivar for people who want leaf colour to do the job of flowers, but in a steadier, year-round way.
