Alocasia azlanii packs metallic colour into an upright plant, with leaves that shift between green, copper, violet, and oil-slick tones depending on age and angle. The veins lean magenta, which intensifies the jewel-like effect and makes even a young specimen feel luxurious. Most indoor plants stay within about 10–28 cm, but the thick leathery leaves give it more visual weight than those measurements suggest.
Bright filtered light helps the shifting surface tones stay vivid without flattening into plain green, and steady warmth is essential because this Bornean species dislikes abrupt cooling. Keep it in a coarse, moisture-retentive but well-aerated substrate, water once the upper layer begins to dry, and maintain high humidity so the metallic sheen stays clear and the margins hold well.
