Alocasia 'Frydek' Variegata overlays velvety dark leaves with crisp white veins and irregular ivory to creamy-white variegation, creating one of the strongest high-contrast combinations in the Alocasia world. It keeps the long, narrow velvet leaf shape of the green form, but the paler tissue makes growth slower and a bit less forgiving, so bright filtered light, steady warmth, and a very airy root zone matter more here than on fully green velvet Alocasias.
The plant is compact to medium indoors, often around 50–100 cm, and each new leaf can differ greatly in how much cream it shows, which is part of the appeal. Let roughly the upper half of the mix dry between waterings, never keep the roots cold and wet, and treat the pale sectors gently because they mark and brown more easily under stress.
For collectors who already love green velvet Alocasias, this is the more dramatic, more individual version.
