Alocasia 'Golden Dragon' scales up the drama with semi-pinnate, dragon-wing foliage and golden-washed stems or midribs that make the whole plant feel brighter and more commanding than a standard green hybrid. Indoors it can become a substantial specimen, often reaching around 1.8–2.5 m with enough light and warmth, so it suits large rooms, bright living areas, and conservatories better than shelves or cabinets.
The leaves can reach impressive lengths and create a canopy effect, but the golden tones keep the plant from feeling heavy. Bright indirect light, warm temperatures, higher humidity, and a loose aroid mix are essential if you want it to keep both vigour and clean leaf quality. Water when the top layer dries slightly, not on a rigid schedule, and ensure the pot drains well. It is best for growers who want one plant to dominate a corner with shape, height, and colour rather than for those wanting a compact collector jewel.
