Alocasia ‘Polly’ Variegata Aurea swaps cooler pale marbling for yellow, chartreuse, and soft golden patterning across the familiar dark, sharply veined ‘Polly’ leaf shape. The plant stays compact, but heavily coloured leaves usually grow more slowly and show stress sooner because the brightest areas contribute less energy than green tissue.
Bright indirect light keeps the aurea pattern clear, though direct sun can damage the lightest sectors quickly. A breathable bark-and-perlite-based mix suits it better than dense compost, and the roots should be kept evenly supplied with moisture without remaining wet for long stretches. Warmth and stable humidity help the new leaves harden with stronger colour and fewer browned edges.
