Alocasia puncakborneensis is a compact highland Bornean species with glossy green leaves marked by a fine raised network that gives the surface a subtly sculpted, almost embossed look. It usually stays around 45 – 55 cm tall indoors, forming a neat self-heading clump that feels composed rather than sprawling, with leaf shape ranging between more sagittate and semi-peltate as the plant matures.
Bright indirect light, warm but not overheated conditions, high humidity, and an airy substrate that stays lightly moist suit it best. Like many mountain-origin Alocasia, it appreciates stability more than extremes, and all parts remain toxic if ingested, so it should be kept away from pets and children. Stable warmth and moisture matter more than force-feeding.
