Alocasia zebrina 'Reticulata' keeps the unmistakable zebra-striped petioles of zebrina, then adds another layer of interest with a pale reticulated network across glossy green leaves. Indoors it can reach 1–1.5 m with leaves around 60–80 cm long, so the plant reads tall and architectural rather than bushy. Bright filtered light keeps the stems strong, while an airy aroid mix prevents the top-heavy plant from sitting in stale moisture.
Water once the upper few centimetres have dried, and keep humidity moderate to high to limit brown edges. All parts contain calcium oxalate, so it should be kept away from pets and children, especially once the long striped stems start to dominate the room. A heavy pot helps counterbalance the long stems as the plant matures.
