Amydrium zippelianum is a climbing aroid that rewards support and patience with increasingly divided, palm-like foliage that looks very different from its simpler juvenile stage. As it matures, leaves develop deeper lobing and a stronger canopy effect, giving the plant much more drama than its early form suggests.
Indoors it works best on a pole or plank where aerial roots can grip and leaf size can increase instead of stalling in a trailing habit. If you want a rare climber with a more tropical-canopy feel than most common house aroids, Amydrium zippelianum is a strong and unusual option.
