Anoectochilus albolineatus is a jewel orchid valued for small velvety leaves traced in fine silver lines that can look almost luminous under soft light. It grows terrestrially on cool, humid forest floors in Southeast Asia, so it is far better suited to terrariums, orchid cases, and enclosed high-humidity setups than to dry open-room culture.
A loose humus-rich substrate with sphagnum and fine bark should stay evenly moist without turning stagnant, while bright filtered light keeps the vein pattern clearer without scorching the foliage. The plant stays compact and grows slowly, which is normal for this group, and its main appeal is the shifting reflective quality of the leaves rather than the comparatively small flowers. Stable humidity is essential.
