Deeply lobed foliage gives Anthurium arisaemoides a very different silhouette from the usual cordate Anthurium, with leaf blades that echo Arisaema-like shapes while still sitting on a compact aroid plant. Indoors it generally stays manageable at around 30–50 cm, growing as a clumping plant from a central rhizome rather than forming long climbing stems.
Bright indirect light, high humidity, and evenly moist but breathable substrate suit it best. Let only the surface dry slightly before watering again, and keep temperatures warm and steady. A loose, organic-rich mix with strong drainage helps prevent root stress.
It is grown mainly for that dissected leaf form rather than for speed. Calcium oxalate is present, so it should be placed out of reach of pets or children likely to chew leaves.
