Anthurium peltigerum is one of the few Anthurium with true peltate leaves, meaning the petiole attaches to the underside of the blade and creates a distinctive shield-like architecture. Thick leathery tissue, dotted surface detail, and a slow elegant habit make it feel unmistakably rare, even among specialist aroid species.
