Begonia 'Autumn Crinkle' stays low and rhizomatous, but its heavily rippled leaves make it read much larger than its footprint suggests. Fresh growth moves through reds, oranges, burgundy, and chocolate tones, and the crinkled surface catches light unevenly, so the colour never looks flat even when the plant is not in active flush.
Bright filtered light helps preserve those deeper shades, while steady moisture and humidity above about 60% keep the leaf margins from drying out or flattening. Use a light, airy mix with organic content, let only the surface dry slightly between waterings, and avoid cold drafts that can interrupt growth. This is a foliage begonia for texture and colour first, with a compact shape that works well where you want concentrated detail rather than height.
