Caladium 'Spring Fling' combines bright pink centres, green borders, and pale veins in thin heart-shaped leaves that glow when light passes through them. It usually reaches around 50–60 cm tall and wide during active growth, forming a dense seasonal clump from underground tubers rather than a permanent evergreen mound.
Warmth, humidity, and bright indirect light keep the colour vivid, while soggy soil or cold conditions quickly shorten the display. Use a loose, draining mix, keep it lightly moist while growing, and reduce watering once the foliage begins to yellow toward dormancy.
Tuber division is the usual propagation method, and like other caladiums it contains calcium oxalate, so it is toxic if ingested. In cooler homes the tubers can be stored dry and restarted in spring.
