Caladium 'White Queen': Quick Overview
Caladium 'White Queen' produces broad heart-shaped leaves with a bright white centre, strong crimson-red veining, and soft green margins, giving the plant a cleaner, sharper contrast than pink-heavy caladium forms. It stays relatively compact, usually around 60 cm tall and wide, and grows from tubers during the warm season before naturally slowing toward dormancy.
Bright indirect light keeps the white areas luminous without bleaching or burn, while high humidity and evenly moist substrate help the delicate leaves expand cleanly.
Use a loose, well-draining mix, reduce watering once yellowing begins toward dormancy, and divide tubers only when they are dormant or just restarting. All parts contain calcium oxalate and are toxic if ingested, despite the clean, almost translucent look.
