Cissus discolor is one of those foliage plants that immediately changes the mood of a room, combining elongated velvety leaves, silver patterning, and deep red undersides on fast-moving climbing stems. It has the colour drama of a rex begonia but the reach and rhythm of a vine, which makes it especially effective on a trellis, moss pole, or anywhere the leaves can layer over one another instead of sitting flat in a pot.
Best results come from bright indirect light, warmth, and humidity that stays comfortably above average. Keep the substrate open and evenly moist rather than soggy, prune when needed to keep branching active, and expect much stronger colour and fuller growth when conditions stay stable instead of swinging between hot, dry, and cool.
