Dracaena angolensis 'Fan', still widely sold as Sansevieria cylindrica, arranges stiff cylindrical leaves in a broad fan rather than a simple upright clump, giving the plant a more deliberate sculptural look. The leaves are grey-green with faint darker banding, tapering to points while staying thick and rigid enough to hold their shape for years.
Like other drought-tolerant Dracaena formerly placed in Sansevieria, it prefers bright light, a very free-draining mineral mix, and long dry intervals between watering. Use a wide pot that suits its spread, keep it warm, and err on the side of too dry rather than too wet, since rot from excess moisture is by far the main risk.
Growth is slow and largely rhizomatous, so the plant stays manageable for a long time, though like other Dracaena it is toxic if ingested by pets.
