Dracaena angolensis 'Star Rose' is a smaller rosette-forming cylindrical snake plant with grey-green banded leaves and fine variegated edges, offering a more delicate version of the species without losing its rugged temperament. Because it stays compact, it is useful for shelves, tabletops, and tighter spaces where taller fan-shaped forms would feel oversized.
Bright indirect light supports the cleanest growth, but it also tolerates lower light if watering is kept restrained. A very fast-draining succulent substrate, warm temperatures around 18–27 °C, and complete drying between waterings are the core requirements, while soggy soil remains the main cause of failure. New leaves appear gradually from the rhizomes, so growth is slow, and this cultivar is not pet-safe if ingested.
