Dracaena fragrans 'Rikki' is a narrow-leaved corn plant cultivar whose leathery arching blades carry a bold yellow midstripe rather than wide edge variegation. The tougher leaf texture makes it less prone to tearing, and the slimmer foliage gives the plant a lighter outline than broader cane forms while still developing into a multi-stemmed shrub over time.
Bright indirect light keeps the yellow band strongest, but partial shade is tolerated with slower growth and softer contrast. Water moderately once the topsoil has dried, use a well-draining organic mix, and keep temperatures around 18–27 °C. Lower leaves naturally drop as the canes age, exposing ringed stems.
Brown edges often reflect fluoride or irregular watering, and the plant is toxic to pets if chewed.
