Dracaena reflexa 'Song of India' is a slow-growing branching shrub with narrow glossy leaves edged in yellow to cream around a green centre, arranged in dense whorls along woody stems. The layered heads give the plant a tiered almost bonsai-like character over time, while the narrow footprint keeps it manageable in ordinary indoor spaces.
Bright indirect light keeps the margins cleaner, though lower light is tolerated with less contrast and slower growth. Let roughly the top 20–30% of substrate dry before rewatering, use a well-draining mix with added bark or perlite, and keep temperatures around 18–26 °C away from cold drafts. Average household humidity is enough, and stem cuttings root readily.
This cultivar contains saponins and should be kept away from pets that might chew the foliage.
