Dracaena trifasciata 'Laurentii' is the classic tall snake plant with green, softly banded leaf centres and broad yellow margins. Indoors it usually reaches about 70–120 cm, forming dense upright clusters from rhizomes and giving immediate vertical structure even in simple containers. It is valued because the silhouette stays clean while the plant tolerates neglect better than most foliage houseplants.
Bright indirect light keeps the yellow edges clearer, though dimmer rooms are tolerated, and watering should only happen once the substrate is bone dry. A fast-draining succulent mix, average indoor humidity, and temperatures around 18–27 °C are enough for steady growth.
Division keeps the variegation true, while leaf cuttings often revert. Like other Dracaena, it contains saponins and is toxic if ingested by pets.
