Eucalyptus gunnii brings cool-toned structure that few other foliage plants can match. Round juvenile leaves in silvery blue sit in opposite pairs on upright stems, creating a clean, modern look that works as both a living plant and a cutting plant for fresh or dried arrangements. In a pot, regular pruning keeps it smaller and encourages more of that rounded juvenile foliage, which is usually the main reason growers choose it.
This is not a forgiving dim-corner plant. Eucalyptus gunnii needs genuine sun, fast drainage, airflow, and a careful watering rhythm where the mix dries partly before being soaked again. Treated correctly, it becomes a strong container specimen for bright rooms, balconies, and sheltered terraces. Treated like a standard tropical houseplant, it declines quickly. For the right window or outdoor summer setup, though, it is excellent.
