Euphorbia ingens 'Marmorata' is a pale marbled selection of the candelabra-forming species, with thick upright stems marked in green, grey-white, and creamier tones rather than the solid green seen in standard plants. Indoors it stays far smaller than the wild tree but still develops a striking vertical form with shallow ridges and small paired spines along the ribs. Because the pale tissue marks more easily, acclimation to stronger sun should be gradual even though the plant still needs very bright light and dry conditions overall.
Use a gritty free-draining mix, water only after complete drying, and keep temperatures above about 10 °C. Like other Euphorbias, it is leafless for most of its life and relies on the stems for photosynthesis. The milky latex is toxic and highly irritating.
