Euphorbia lactea 'Cristata' is the familiar coral cactus, grown for its broad, folded crest that looks more like mineral coral or a frozen wave than a normal stemmed succulent. Most plants are grafted onto a sturdier Euphorbia base, which gives the top stability and creates the classic contrast between the upright stock and the fan-shaped crest above it. It stays relatively compact, grows slowly, and delivers a sculptural look all year, so it suits bright shelves, windowsills, and minimalist displays where form matters more than size.
Keep it in strong light, let the mix dry fully between waterings, avoid wetting the crest or graft union, and always remember that the white latex sap is highly irritating to skin and eyes.
