Ficus benghalensis 'Sunshine' is an indoor banyan selection with oval, leathery leaves, a pale trunk, and fresh green growth marked by pink-toned veins when young. Unlike smaller leafy figs that stay visually flat, it develops an airy canopy and a clearer tree form as the stem thickens, so it works best where height and branching can be appreciated.
Bright, strong indirect light keeps the foliage dense and the colour clean, while a free-draining, nutrient-rich potting mix helps the roots stay active between waterings. Let the upper layer of the substrate dry before watering again, avoid cold drafts, and give it enough space: indoors it remains far smaller than wild banyans but can still become a substantial, branching room specimen over time.
