Ficus benjamina 'Green Kinky' is a compact weeping fig with slightly curled glossy green leaves and a naturally finer, denser look than larger ordinary benjamina forms. It usually stays around 60 cm, which makes it easier to place on shelves, stands, or side tables while still giving the branching character expected from a ficus.
Bright indirect light suits it best, though partial shade is tolerated, and watering should happen once the top few centimetres of the substrate have dried rather than on a rigid schedule. A free-draining mix with perlite and stable indoor warmth help it stay balanced, while sudden shifts in light, temperature, or moisture can trigger leaf drop.
Light pruning keeps the crown neat, and spider mites or mealybugs may appear on stressed plants. Like other Ficus, the sap can irritate and the plant should be kept away from pets.
