Haworthiopsis limifolia is the classic fairy washboard, forming hard, compact rosettes of triangular leaves marked with strong transverse ridges that stay visible even on small plants. It brings immediate tactile structure to a windowsill, desk, or succulent grouping without demanding much space, and the rosette shape keeps it looking orderly even when the plant starts to offset. This is the kind of succulent that earns its place through surface detail and reliability rather than size or colour novelty.
Bright light, excellent drainage, lean gritty substrate, and watering only after full drying keep it dense and sharply ridged, while low light or heavy, damp soil quickly soften the form and undo the architectural appeal.
