Hoya 'Mathilde Splash' is a compact hybrid of Hoya carnosa and Hoya serpens with small round leaves, fine silver flecking, and soft fuzzy pink flowers once mature. The 'Splash' form emphasises the metallic spotting, so the plant stays interesting even when it is not in bloom, and the short-jointed trailing habit makes it easy to place on shelves or in smaller hanging pots.
Bright indirect light, an airy mix, and watering after the top few centimetres dry are enough to keep it growing steadily without the root stress that comes from wet compost. It prefers to stay slightly rootbound, tolerates average indoor humidity well, and rewards stable care with a neat, highly decorative vine that does not need much room. Stable placement and slight root restriction help over time.
