Hoya polyneura is the classic 'Fishtail Hoya', known for diamond-shaped leaves traced with blue-green fishbone veins along arching stems that fall gracefully rather than climb. That instantly recognizable foliage makes it one of the most distinctive Hoyas even when not in bloom, and hanging baskets show it off far better than upright supports ever could.
The species comes from cooler Himalayan conditions, so it appreciates bright indirect light, cooler nights, good airflow, and evenly careful watering more than high heat and heavy humidity. Once settled, it can bloom reliably with white flowers and dark carmine centres, but most growers fall for polyneura long before flowering because the leaf pattern alone gives it a clear identity and a softer, more elegant silhouette than most Hoyas.
