Hoya sp. Ternate is an undescribed Indonesian clone from North Maluku with thick dark green leaves, pronounced veins, and a distinctly sculptural, architectural feel. It grows as a climbing or trailing epiphyte and is easier to manage than sprawling Hoyas because the leaves stay firm, structured, and visually dense even when the vines are not very long.
Bright indirect light, 50–70% humidity, temperatures around 18–26 °C, and an airy bark-perlite substrate give it the conditions it needs to stay healthy and well rooted. Water after the top of the mix has dried, and avoid cold drafts or dense soil that stays wet for too long.
Hoya sp. Ternate is a particularly good single-specimen Hoya for growers who want leaf texture and shape to do most of the visual work, with flowers being secondary rather than essential.
