Ludisia discolor 'Alba' offers a softer version of jewel-orchid foliage, with velvety leaves in pale olive to silvery green crossed by fine light venation instead of the darker, red-backed look more often associated with the species. It grows through creeping stems that root at the nodes and gradually form a low clump, usually around 10–20 cm tall, making it well suited to terrariums, shallow pots, and shaded shelves.
Bright but indirect light, evenly moist organic substrate, warm temperatures around 18–26 °C, and humidity from roughly 60–80% help it stay lush. White flowers can appear on upright spikes, but the foliage remains the main attraction year-round. This cultivar is considered non-toxic and is easiest to propagate by division or stem sections with rooted nodes.
