Marcgravia sp. El Coca is a high-humidity shingling climber valued for velvety leaves, maroon undersides, and fine silver venation that gives the surface a layered, almost fabric-like look. In juvenile growth it hugs a background closely, then develops larger, more pendulous branching as it matures, so it can shift from neat coverage to a more dramatic cascading habit over time. Bright indirect light, warm conditions around 20–28 °C, and consistently moist but well-drained substrate are essential, and humidity above 70% helps it keep both colour and pace.
