Nephrolepis exaltata 'Vitale' offers a fuller, more structured sword-fern look than some softer Boston forms, with glossy fronds that arch outward but keep enough upright character to read clean rather than floppy. That makes it very effective in hanging baskets and raised pots where you want volume and movement without losing definition. It also adapts better than fussier fern types to average indoor conditions, as long as watering stays regular and the plant is not baked by heaters or direct midday sun.
Humidity still improves it, but 'Vitale' earns its place by looking good without demanding a specialist setup. Because it is pet-safe, it is easy to use in shared living spaces too. For anyone wanting a dependable lush fern with a little more structure and a little less chaos than the most billowy forms, 'Vitale' is a strong indoor option.
