Passiflora jorullensis is grown for the geometry of its foliage, with very large bilobed leaves whose rounded arcs look almost drafted with a compass rather than formed by a climbing vine. That unusual shape gives the plant an architectural presence uncommon in Passiflora.
Native to montane habitats in Mexico, it appreciates bright indirect light, evenly moist but draining substrate, and enough warmth and humidity for steady growth without prolonged dryness. A trellis or frame is important, because the vine is vigorous and its leaf shape shows best when the stems are allowed to spread rather than hang. Flowers are comparatively modest, so this is a collector’s passionflower for leaf structure first, with a strong, orderly climbing habit in cultivation.
