Passiflora misera is a slender twining passionflower with leathery bat-wing leaves and small white flowers flushed with pink, offering a much quieter kind of ornament than the broad dramatic blooms associated with the genus. The value here lies in detail and restraint: unusual leaf shape, compact flower scale, and a vine that looks refined rather than overblown when trained over a frame or trellis.
It comes from open habitats and forest edges across Central and South America and adapts well to cultivation when given bright indirect light, evenly moist substrate with some drying at the top, and average to higher humidity. Flowers may be less frequent in dim indoor conditions, but the foliage remains attractive on its own. For collectors, it works well as a foil to louder passionflowers.
