Peperomia obtusifolia 'Green Gold' is a compact baby rubber plant cultivar with thick, glossy leaves marbled in deep green, minty green, and creamy yellow, so even a small pot reads bright and full. It keeps an upright, bushy shape and usually tops out around 25–30 cm, making it easy to place on desks, shelves, or windowsills without sprawl.
Bright, indirect light helps maintain the variegation, while the semi-succulent leaves mean the mix should dry partly between waterings. Use a loose, well-draining substrate, keep temperatures warm, and avoid cold drafts or waterlogged soil.
This cultivar is non-toxic and easy to propagate from stem or leaf cuttings, which adds to its appeal as an unfussy, colourful foliage plant for everyday indoor growing in compact rooms.
