Philodendron giganteum is a large climbing philodendron grown for scale first and everything else second, producing huge broadly cordate-ovate leaves with a robust, lush tropical look. Even younger plants show the thick petioles and dense structure that hint at the size they can reach with time, support, and root room. It can be trained upward or allowed to sprawl more loosely, but either way it is built to become a dominant plant rather than a shelf filler.
Bright, indirect light, watering after the upper layer has dried, and a rich but well-draining mix with bark and perlite help it build size without rotting out. Temperatures around 18–27 °C and reasonably high humidity keep the foliage cleaner and broader. Given space, it becomes a true scale-changing plant rather than just another green accent.
