Philodendron hederaceum var. oxycardium variegata keeps the soft matte heart-shaped leaves and flexible vine of the green species but adds irregular cream and pale lime sectors that can shift from node to node. The plant trails or climbs easily, and the internodes stay compact enough that it can be used both in hanging baskets and on poles without looking messy too quickly. Vines can exceed 2 m under steady indoor conditions.
Bright, indirect light supports stronger growth, though the plant tolerates medium light well, and watering after the top 20–30% of the substrate has dried helps protect the roots from staying too wet. It prefers 18–28 °C, humidity around 50–70%, and an airy bark-and-coir mix.
Like other philodendrons, it is toxic if chewed and should be kept away from pets and small children.
