Philodendron lynamii is a rare Peruvian climber with large quilted leaves that emerge maroon-green with glowing vermilion undersides before maturing darker and deeper green. Long petioles rise from a short-noded stem, so even a fairly young plant can look dramatic without becoming bulky. The colour shift and the persistent richness on the underside are a big part of its appeal.
