Philodendron martianum 'Pacová', often called 'Fatboy', is a self-supporting philodendron prized for very thick succulent-like petioles that store water and hold up a rosette of glossy mid-green leaves. That swollen petiole structure is the defining feature and gives the plant a heavier, more sculptural look than many philodendrons with similar leaf colour. It usually reaches around 90 cm indoors while staying upright and non-vining.
Bright, indirect light works best, though it tolerates less, and watering after the top layer of substrate has dried suits the water-storing petioles better than constant moisture.
