Philodendron sp. 'Peltatum', often sold as a silver pastazanum type, is a creeping collector aroid with wide heart-shaped leaves and cool-toned silver venation that reads cleaner and crisper than standard pastazanum. It spreads horizontally along thick stems, so it belongs in a broad container where the runners can move freely rather than in a deep pot.
Philodendron sp. 'Peltatum' likes bright indirect light, even moisture, warmth, and humidity high enough to keep the foliage broad and relaxed without turning limp. A chunky substrate with bark, perlite, and coir helps protect the roots while the plant crawls steadily forward. This is a very good option if you want a low, silver-accented display plant with real collector interest but without the vertical demands of climbing species.
