Philodendron 'Summer Glory' combines creeping gloriosum influence with warm new growth that opens red-orange before settling into deep green, so the plant offers both velvet-style foliage appeal and a noticeable colour shift. It grows horizontally rather than climbing, which means a wide pot is more important than height and the rhizome should be allowed to move forward without crowding. Mature plants can spread toward 90 cm, with leaves around 30–40 cm across in steady conditions.
Bright, indirect light, evenly moist but not sodden substrate, and a loose mix with bark, coir, and perlite suit it best. Temperatures around 18–26 °C and humidity in the 60–80% range help new growth expand properly.
Because it contains calcium oxalate, it is not safe for pets or children that might chew it.
