Rhaphidophora megasperma is a rare climber from Borneo and the Malay Peninsula with oblong-lanceolate leaves perforated by rounded or rhombic windows, giving it a lighter and more elongated look than broader fenestrated aroids. It climbs with aerial roots and responds well to moss poles or trellises, where the foliage can present more evenly and the perforations become easier to appreciate.
Bright, indirect light, high humidity, and a consistently airy but lightly moist substrate are key to strong growth. For collectors who want fenestration without the bulk of a giant Monstera, megasperma offers a more elegant, narrow-bladed alternative.
