Saxifraga stolonifera 'Variegata', often called Strawberry Begonia, is a low-growing, pet-safe trailing plant with fuzzy round leaves marked by silver veining, pink-white margins, and reddish undersides. Fine runners carry baby plants that root easily, so it spreads with a light, layered look rather than forming a dense static clump. That makes it especially useful in hanging pots, mixed planters, or shelf displays where softness and movement are wanted.
Bright indirect light, even moisture, and a lightly airy substrate keep it lush without fuss.
It is a charming option for shaded spaces where many colourful plants struggle, and its non-toxic habit makes placement easy around pets.
