Tradescantia fluminensis 'Yellow Hill' is a fast-growing trailer with small leaves striped in green, yellow, and cream, giving the plant a bright, cheerful look that shows up well even from a distance. It roots readily along the stems and quickly fills hanging pots, shelf edges, or mixed displays, so it is most useful when you want fast colour coverage rather than a slow specimen plant.
Bright indirect light keeps the yellow tones clear, while ordinary room temperatures and slightly elevated humidity are enough for good growth if the soil is allowed to dry lightly between waterings. Because the sap can irritate skin and the stems grow quickly, regular trimming is both practical and helpful for keeping the plant dense, fresh, and evenly coloured. Tip pinching helps.
