Xanthosoma sagittifolium 'Frozen Planet' is a self-heading cultivar with large sagittate leaves in unusually cool silvery-green tones, giving the speciesâ broad tropical structure a much paler, frosted look. Indoors it can reach roughly 80â100 cm tall and wide, rising from a central corm on thick upright petioles rather than climbing or trailing.
Keep it in bright, indirect light, warm conditions, and a moisture-retentive but airy mix that never dries out completely or stays waterlogged. High humidity helps protect the broad leaf margins, while division of the corm is the normal way to propagate it. Because it contains calcium oxalate, it should be kept away from pets and children, and like many large aroids it responds badly to cold drafts, compacted substrate, and prolonged sogginess.
