Aeschynanthus 'Rasta' is built around tightly curled, glossy leaves that twist along trailing stems and give the plant a dense, textured outline even before it flowers. When conditions are right, bright red tubular blooms appear against that dark green mass, adding strong contrast without changing the compact feel. It suits baskets or high shelves where vines can reach toward 90 cm, though pinching keeps it fuller.
Use bright indirect light, warmth, and an airy mix that dries slightly between waterings rather than staying continuously damp. Humidity above 60% helps the foliage stay supple, and the plant is generally considered non-toxic, which makes it easier to place in bright living areas where the leaf curls can be appreciated up close. Flowers are secondary.
